Our Story: Sustainability and Craftsmanship in Candles

A few years ago, searching for a truly eco-friendly alternative to traditional paraffin and stearin candles, I decided to take matters into my own hands. This led to a quest for the most sustainable and environmentally friendly wax for candles. Soon, I discovered rapeseed wax: a local, plant-based, and fully renewable material.

Why is rapeseed wax so sustainable?
Rapeseed wax is derived from the seeds of the rapeseed plant (Brassica napus). In spring, these fields turn bright yellow, attracting bees and other pollinators. Cultivated in Europe since the 17th century, the plant provides oil, protein-rich animal feed, and straw that improves soil quality. The purified oil is processed into pure, plant-based wax – the foundation of our candles.

Because rapeseed is grown locally in Europe, CO₂ emissions from transport remain low. This local aspect makes the choice obvious.

Ecology in everything we do
Sustainability goes beyond wax. For our scented candles, we use 100% natural essential oils, free from synthetic fragrances. Our packaging is also environmentally conscious, made from recycled cardboard, paper tape, and biodegradable corn-based fillers.

Handcrafted in our own workshop
Every candle is poured by hand in our workshop. Small variations in color or shape are part of the craft, giving each candle its unique character.

With endless possibilities in shapes, colors, and natural scents, we are happy to help if you have special requests. Contact us via our form – we’re here to create something unique together.
