At Puurlicht, we produce sustainable, handmade candles with respect for people, animals, and the environment. Transparency about our materials and production process is essential. Below we explain how our ecological candles are created.
100% Rapeseed Wax – Natural & Environmentally Friendly
All our candles are made from 100% rapeseed wax. This plant-based wax is completely free of paraffin, renewable, and biodegradable. Rapeseed wax is an eco-friendly alternative to fossil waxes and ensures clean, even burning. We do not use blends, toxic substances, or synthetic additives.
Sustainable Energy via Solar Panels
We use electricity generated by solar panels for melting the wax and the entire production process. This allows us to produce our sustainable candles with renewable energy and minimize our ecological footprint.
Completely Handmade Candles
Every Puurlicht candle is an artisanal, handmade product. The entire process – waxing, pouring, demolding, finishing, and packing – is done by hand. Minor variations are possible, which is characteristic of true handmade candles and contributes to their unique character.
100% Cotton Wicks Without Metals
We use only 100% cotton wicks, completely free of metals, lead, or other harmful additives. This ensures a cleaner burn and makes our candles suitable for anyone choosing natural and eco-friendly candles.
Eco-Friendly & Sustainable Packaging
At Puurlicht, we deliberately choose completely plastic-free packaging. Our candles are packaged only with sustainable, ecological materials, using biodegradable filler chips and paper tape. This ensures both the product and packaging align with our commitment to sustainability and environmentally friendly practices.
Liability
Due to the handmade nature and the use of natural materials, small differences in color, texture, or finish may occur. This is inherent to handmade rapeseed wax candles and does not constitute a production defect.
